I have been suggesting this for some time!

Excellent news!

Now the actuall canning process is all about engineering and hygene, but what about the marketing?

I am sure the cans are plain generics in one (or two colour options) so what about labeling?

Saruman, oblivious, thanks for the welcome!

Will_D, good question! We've been looking at various options over the past few months. In our view, a premium product deserves a premium package! For a commitment to can over a period of 18 months, we will source and store pre printed cans with the brewer's choice of branding.

For smaller volumes, we will provide shrink-sleeve labeling. This will involve applying digitally printed PVC/PET label to empty, blank cans and passing them through a heat tunnel- securing them flush to the can and covering all the contours. The effect is really aesthetically effective- in terms of shelf appeal it is difficult to differentiate between a shrink-sleeved can and a pre-printed one!

Shrink sleeving for canned beer is really taking off in the USA, Asia and recently New Zealand- there are some really great examples out there. If you are on Twitter, check out Old Dominion Canning (@ODMCanning). Of course, we will have our own samples available soon!

Hello Irish Brewers !!!

Hopefully you will allow me to post on here to tell you about our service.

WeCan Solutions Ltd is a company based in the UK which now advertises a mobile canning service in Ireland. We have been delivering the service in the UK (and occasionally in Holland) for the past 18 months and have filled approaching 1,000,000 cans.

Quality is key in this industry and one of the reasons that we have been so successful. We have found that mobile canning is far from easy and we have gone to great lengths to ensure that our quality is maintained.

We now have a long list of results that prove our microbiology in our processing are un-compromised, our seam quality is "exceptional" and our added oxygen levels are impressive (14 - 20ppb). This gives you at least a shelf life you are getting from your bottles - often more.

So, whilst we have been available to attend Irish Brewers for some time, we are now making a bit of a song and dance over it. One of our canning lines will be dedicated to Irish Brewers and delivered by our Irish representative.

We arrange everything for you from branding, can source, testing and final packaging. All you need to to is give us a date, beer and artwork and we'll see you at your brewery.

We also have a strong route to market also so would like to purchase some of your beer from you if you agree.

We are canning at Rascals Brewery on the 30th - 3rd Dec and would love to meet anyone interested during the evenings we are with you. If you cant make that we'll be around every few weeks so can fit in with you.
