I got one of their "poker nights" kits in the post the other night. Very nice it is too. I guess I'm supposed to organise a card game with lashings of Guinness to accompany the gambling. I suppose it's just one more of their marketing ploys but I've a load of branded Guinness tat in the house now so it's working to that end.

Got one of the free glasses too, the ol' O'Hara's tastes lovely out of it too.

in fairness to them the poker kit is not bad at all...but how much has it added on to a pint ? i have been getting loads of stuff off them for a long time. in fact i got a rugby dvd the other day and a hat and an annoying 500ml glass along with some free can vouchers. i am a fan of free stuff in general so no complaints here ...i rememebr being in college and getting invited a number of times to the gravity bar to watch champos league and drink 6 free pints. at the time most of my mates wouldnt drink giun so needless to say i was fairly rubbered more than once up there. it still angers me when they put up the prices every year . in the last 5 years the price has risen from 2.05 to 2.55 in the army mess. no profit there so thats a 50cent increase...id take no increase and give them all my free merchandise back but instead i just get my free cans and buy some beamish instead.
