Surley when you crop from a batch of beer (Top crop, Bottom crop, Washing trub or w.h.y.) then it matters not a jot as to where the original pitch came from Dry packet pitched dry, Dry pitched rehydrated, Liquid pitched straight, liquid bulked up in a starter, washed yeast, trub!
After all a single viable yeast cell or 20 billion brothers and sisters or so don't remember their parents!
