Smoked a ham on the Big Green Egg, loads of winter veg. Cheeses were Cashel Blue and Céad by Milleens. To drink, Leann Folláin and Dark Arts.

Cask Moonbeam going on now as well.[/quote:ixwnfxgz]

I must have just missed the Moonbeam! <!-- s:cry: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cry.gif" alt="" title="Crying or Very sad" /><!-- s:cry: --> left at around half-time in the rugby (or maybe when Leinster ran in their 4th try).

Thought the Mount Callan and Crozier blue were the stars of the show, enjoyed Dark Arts which I hadn't had in a while and the Buckleys.

agree with will the 1st and 4th were the best pairings, i prefered the first, very nice cider.
it was a very mild blue cheese i think i would have prefered something a bit stronger for that one

i also went to kavanaghs one too
they paired a cheese with a beer type so 1 cask, draught and bottle pairing

they had a soft goats cheese (cask)
this was advertised with white gypsy amber ale but it was not on as it only arrived that morning (its on now)
instead they paired it with dancing duck ay-up. i thought this was a great pairing better then the intended one as both cheese and beer had a slight lemony/citrusy taste

boyne valley blue cheese with pumpkin brew (draught)

cheddar with dark arts (bottle)

Hi there,

I went to the Milk Market in Limerick on Sunday last with anticipation of picking up some craft beer and some nice cheese. Much to my surprise and no little annoyance I was to find out that there was absolutely nothing on. I spent a few minutes chewing the fat with the owner (Ann) of the cheese shop/cafe in the market and guess what she knew nothing about it. Turns out the market is only on Saturdays.

I am still trying to figure out whether it was a case of the bord bia web site being wrong on whether they just plain messed this up. Strikes me as very strange that one of the major permanent cheese shops in the market would know nothing about this.

Anybody else know anything about this?

The ber and cheese event was advertised as being held by Smyths bar and Country Choice deli. I was in the market on Saturday and saw nothing happening. I also checked outside Smyths on Friday and Saturday and saw nothing advertised. Maybe Smyths and Country Choice should be answering questions.
