Great night guys for a fisrt timer, tasted some realy good beers, Will definitely be regular thing now I dont have to work late on Thursdays.

You forgot one more regulation, Rueben. -We actually setup a tasting order and try to open the beers from light and not to hoppy, through to the darker beers and stouts and then end with the crazy hoppy stuff and any known-infected/off-flavor beers.

The two "clone" beers were my favorites for the night. Rossa's Hobgoblin-inspired beer was great in every way as was that Sierra Nevada clone.

It was really cool James made a Cream Ale as it's a style I've never managed to try before and cooking rice on the oven and adding it to the mash is pretty brave.

I also learned why Green Bullet is considered a bittering hop and not a dual-purpose hop.

I'm a weirdo but I'm sad I didn't get to try any of the infected beers.

1 - 1.5 liters is the standard amount to bring. (Unless you're cool like Rossa and you bring a 2L growler; although Geoff brought a 20L corney once!)

Oh yeah the tasting order. The [u:a0sx4ble]rebel [/u:a0sx4ble]table <!-- s:P --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt="" title="Razz" /><!-- s:P --> started lashing out pale ales a bit quickly but that might have had something to do with the fact that some of them had to leave early and they wanted their beers tasted first?

It was a great night indeed! Glad to hear that u enjoyed both of my beers. If anyone wants a recipe feel free to PM me. Next time can bring same bath of SNPA clone but dry hopped with amarillo. Also glad that had a chance to try infected beers cause lucky none of mine got infection so far. From the selection of beers presented yesterday I really enjoyed hobgoblin clone and hoppy IPA <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

Get caught stealing someone's flip-top bottle and get your hand cut off!

Once again I thoroughly enjoyed the meet up, next time I must bring a good beer, financial times stout wasn't up to scratch but it had to be done because connaught tribune double ipa will not be ready until september!
