Thanks indeed, hope the clean up wasn't too painful! A few of us enjoyed the far reaches of TheBeerNut's CD collection until the early hours - hopefully the neighbors will still speak to you <!-- s:-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:-) -->

Yes indeed, thanks TBN! It was a excellent way to spend an afternoon!

Thanks to everyone for coming along and for bringing beer and food.

I'll take a look at the notes from the blind tasting soon. I got the impression that, once again, there's no significant quality difference in beers from extract and all-grain brews.

Perhaps a pale ale/golden ale would be a better brew for comparisons i find stouts are great levellers in that all those strong flavours allow a lot of wriggle room for flaws to hide.

That's the plan for the next one: a kit "lager" and two blonde ales.

I noticed a significant difference in what turned out to be the Extract and All Grain but will say no more than that until results get posted.
