Should setup a meetup.com account, they're dead handy (Think the Beoir Ladies have one)

Anyone who subscribes to say 'Beoir:Dublin' will get an invite each month

Once its setup it's just a case of clicking on an email link to confirm your going and the Event host (IE BeerNut) will have a full list of who's going.

Could also get some interest from folk that use meetup for other meetups to Beoir, get some more members etc.


Still no harm in having these threads also for a bit of pre/post meetup banter as well.

The problem with meetup.com is the cost is very expensive for what it is. We looked at it before when we originally were setting up.

That said, our accounts are in a much healthier position now.
We would need someone to volunteer to manage it. I don't think any of the officers have the time. I know I don't.

And to make it worthwhile, whoever looks after it will need to do a good job to get us value for money.

The one thing is that other Irish craft beer groups on meetup.com have failed miserably. The only one that hasn't is the Dublin Ladies because it is a safe way for women to get involved etc where as in the other groups, it was open to men also and women just don't feel comfortable in a mixed environment in a pub with strangers for the most part.

It costs money? Boo! Down with that sort of thing!

Could always look into alternative services, somewhere between FB events feature and meetup
