I did suggest last year and also this year that if they used "tempered safety glass" glasses then there would be probably less risk than from a plastic glass! See below:

I really hate the modern practice of packaging "things" ( worth about a fiver ) in a rigid PET plastic shell that is a bugger to open. Loose your cool, cut, rip and pull and you can slice yer arm open.
Tempered beer glasses are like car safety glass, break them and they turn into (non-fermentable) sugar like crystals.
They are "defacto" in rough pubs in the UK
And BTW: the punters are paying for the glasses. I did a price check last year and they are about 100% more expensive!
However, a dodgy glass costs 50 cents, a safety glass costs a euro! and we can charge Joe Public a fiver! Comeon - its a no brainer!
