Doing up a homebrew Mild Ale tonight, and thought popped into my head: have any of the Irish breweries ever brewed Mild Ale in recent times - or even in olden times for that matter?

Perrys of laois are well documented for brewing mild ale, probably some not to dissimilar to what was brewed in england at the time

Depends what you mean by mild. The recent brown ales from Galway Bay and Messrs Maguire would broadly fit the definition of modern dark mild.

Historically, there's an argument that modern Irish red's ancestors were milds rather than pale ales.

By the oldest definition every Irish beer is mild, ie brewed for immediate consumption.
