Dogfishhead back in Ireland 12 years 5 months ago #13

They were available both bottled and on draught this time last year in New Zealand. I was sorry to have to move back.

The distribution cutback mentioned above was domestic as well; DFH just started shipping again[/url:2nnplth2] to states like Wisconsin.

Calagione says: [quote:2nnplth2]This expansion will be completed in a few months, and we’ll finally have the capacity to reopen the markets we had to pull out of. [/quote:2nnplth2]
but I couldn't say if that includes export.

I was passing Martin's on my way home, so I called in to see if through some twist of fate they actually did have some Dogfishhead somehow. No, sadly not.

This is off-topic, but I got to mention that they ended up giving me a tester of Glendalough poitin (the 40% abv in their line-up, there's also a 60% abv one and one aged in Sherry casks). Pretty good. I'd say it was so mild and drinkable that for the authentic poitin experience you'd need to step up to the 60% 'mountain strength'.

Dogfish Head don't even ship to all US states so the chances of finding some in Ireland are quite slim. I was chatting with Wally from Grand Cru about it and he said it was come in at a very expensive price even if he could get his hands on it.
