Dublin cask options 13 years 5 months ago #1

Anyone know which pubs have the best cask choice at the moment ? black sheep? mulligans ? Looking to organize mini cask pub crawl.

WJ Kavanaghs have 5 engines, normally 2-4 on (weekends 4)
Black Sheep have 4 engines, normally 2-3 on
Porterhouse Temple Bar have 2 engines and a counter top cask, I think all three are on? (they were the last day i think)
The Bull and castle, mulligan's, brew dock and farringtons all have one...

I'm sure I've forgotten a few pubs...

There were three engines on the go in Porterhouse Central last I was in.

Brew Dock has two now, likewise Against the Grain, but I've only ever seen one beer on in each. The Palace also has one.

Brew Dock had 2 on this Sunday.

I happened just to focus on the Twisted Hop.

That's what I had there on Sunday afternoon. What was on the other one?

Wj Kavanaghs gets my vote. They had 4 casks on Sunday- Metalman pale ale, white gypsy amber, another English amber and an English pale ale (can't remember the names of the last two). Plus they had the Rogue stuff on draft which is bloody delicious.
Every time I go in there they always have a cask or two on from small English breweries from around Derby. Always stuff you don't see anywhere else.
