Gawrshdarnit! I was in on Monday and didn't see that. Picked up an Emmerdale and a Betty Stogs. I had a good poke around the bargain baskets too. I was tempted by the Rogue Mocha Porter for €1.50, but couldn't find a trace of a date on it, and some things in there had 2006 dates, so I didn't chance it.

I got the Rogue mocha will let you know...also picked up a black wych / black sheep riggwelter/ Baltika 9 / green king ipa / sleemans honey brown lager and another 3-4 that I cant either remember nor pronounce

I was going to buy a Riggwelter as I've not found it in Dublin and it's chuffing gorgeous. But I had it in Galway last month, so I passed.

The Sleeman's, I think, really suffers from being expired. I'd say it's quite nice when fresh but the slightly [i:cvlc4hsd]mature[/i:cvlc4hsd] one I had was a bit musty.

I was also tempted by the big bottle of something patriotic from Brain in Wales. Though from the date I'd probably have been better selling it on as an antique than drinking it.

Booooo: people of Cork. Drink more craft beer!

(And open the Bierhaus and Well earlier than 4: some of us are thirsty at 2.30 and are on the 4.30 train back to Dublin. I'm just saying...)

he is shifting those at 12 for ten euro ( 12x660ml bottles) !!! I might get one on Saturday to see how bad it really is for myself...I was chatting to the guy in the shop and he even said it was supposed to be suspect when fresh not to mention a year out of date...

I drank one of those a month ago and it was drinkable. just a bit bland & not enough body.
