Mentioned in this thread[/url:1ikwqa3o] as having a manufacturer's licence, the first beer from Five Lamps has just gone on sale in McDaid's and The Duke in Dublin. It's a lager.

Anyone have any more information on the who, what and where? They have a Facebook page here[/url:1ikwqa3o].

Edit: Confirmation from McDaid's that it's contract brewed, though they won't say by whom.

We're based down on the north strand beside the 5 lamps - hence the name. We're in the process of getting a small mirco brewery up and running. In the meantime we are working with one of the Irish craft producers to get our lager to market - albeit in a very small way. We're passionate about the Irish drinks space (across all categories) and we were keen to base our business in the city given the great tradition and history of drink production that exists. And its where we live! Anyway in a city environment things always take longer than you expect
(in terms of planning etc) but I will keep you posted on the brewery as it develops.
