OK
Had this ,
Made the mistake of Drinking a glass of Beoir Chorca Dhuibhne Porter before opening it .
[i:1q4bbdaf]The Grape or the Grain but never the twain [/i:1q4bbdaf]
Surprisingly this reminded me very much of my Frankenbrew I made with every fermentable sugar in the house and green tea ( - the iced tea notes there was in that )
However my Hiatal Hernia reacted violently to it and refused to allow more than a few sips to pass through my gullet , instantly producing a spasm in the said Hialtal Sphincter muscle , exactly as would happen upon trying to drink red wine after 5 pints of Beamish ( a deadly mix which has spectacular repercussions )
So the Midas Touch got a thumbs down from me .
Floral , Wine notes in the flavour and smell , thin wine like body , no hint of spices or saffron for me . Dry " tea like" tannins , but without the tea flavouring .
All in all ,wouldn't have another go .
