I haven't really been in a pub in England since last August, but at that time I would have said that of the 16 beer engines on the counter only one had a beer that had obvious Cascades in it. The rest were typically 'English' (Scarecrow is super on cask, and is a little different as it's a single hop (Target) ale). Though not a lot of darks now that I think of it.

But is not just a new extension of the golden ales that started appearing in the 90's, now favoring American/Antipodean hops?

Definitely my experience in London this weekend.
Among British cask ales in crafty places the likes of us would frequent, it ran roughly 2 or 3 blondes to every tap of old school bitter.

That,s some club you go to,so your sitting around having an alf of cask bitter and the barmen sends 2 or 3 blondes over to ye. By the end of the night you could have a hareem. My question is WHERE.
