Favourite Brewer 18 years 6 months ago #1

Fullers gets my vote. A biggish selection of ales, all really good, mostly quite different while still containing that distictive Fullersiness. I've never had Chiswick bitter and I think Discovery is only ok. Apart from that, all the others are amongst my favourites.

Anyone else have a favourite?

Christophe Noyon[/url:iup6qedt], though probably because he's the only brewer I know who uses his own name as the product brand. More craft breweries should do this.

Noyon's beers are fantastic, though.

After that, probably Heather Ale. Even though some of their beers are a bit iffy, Fraoch and Alba more than make up for it.

I lived for a number of years in Wandsworth (not in HM Prison before the smartarse`s get in) but beside Young’s the other big London brewery, now gone to Bedford and dumbing down I hear.

A Fullers was my favourite London brew. Chiswick bitter is excellent, a tasty brew at about 3.5% great a midweek pint

My favourite --- Anything from Adnams, Southwold, Suffolk.

I change my mind regularly but when I saw the title of your post Fullers sprang to mind, and for much the same reasons. I'm not too keen on their lighter (coloured) ales as I don't think their yeast suits them. In particular I despise their Honey beer. Having said that I tried their IPA the last time I was in London and I liked it. I love their Pride range and their London Porter and I think 1845 is a wonderful drink at Christmas.

edit: How did I forget the ESB?

Forgot about their honey ale. Don't like it either. Actually the only honey beer I've ever actually liked is a Belgian one called BarBar (I think). 1845 is superb. I love London Porter.
