I was just reading adams thread about doing "something" that might be fun to promote craft beer. I thought his idea to have a sarcastic protest outside some craft beer pub was at least funny.
But... one thing we could do is... alot of people organise pub crawls at xmas - if you find yourself on the comittee for creating the route for 12 pubs of christmas why not only choose pubs from the beoir directory <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->


...and of course always drink sensibly!!

This is an awesome outline of an idea.

What are you thinking?
A single flyer outlining 12 pubs carrying Irish craft beer?
If something like this:
1. How do we avoid "picking favorites"?(or does it not matter)
2. Do we scatter them around the entire island?
3. Just a list of 12 pubs available to visit over the season or are you talking about getting a specific date scheduled with each participating pub and then having everyone go to each pub on the schedule day?


If we send invitations to all pubs carrying Irish craft beer or x number of Irish craft beer and then open up the 12 spots on a first-come-first serve basis that avoids problem #1 above.

But i'll just say this....
If you're not familiar with it... a common thing at christmas is for offices or groups of friends to organise a 12 pubs of christmas.

Its basically a pub crawl where you visit 12 pubs in one day/night.
My point being that if any of us find ourselves in a position where we might have an influence on the listing, ensure that you include as many craft beer pubs as possible , thus introducing non-craft beer people to our world.

OHHH. Sorry I've never heard of that before; didn't understand. Now I get it.
