Is the porterhouse plain not bottle conditioned?

I don't think i've ever had a bottle of hilden beer with yeast in it, they certainly don't claim to be bottle conditioned and the presence of a big yeast filter in the brewery would also suggest they don't bottle with yeast.

Never tried any of the porterhouse beers, they don't seem to make it up north.

So it was just Hilden Ale that was bottle conditioned. I think they may have discontinued it too, as the own-brand beers aren't listed on this page[/url:3jja52fk]. The College Green and Belfast Quarters ranges are all filtered, IIRC.

I'm pretty sure that the bottle I had of brainblasta had "bottle conditioned" written on it, but there wasn't a hint of sediment, so I was a little confused. Perhaps they carbonate naturally before bottling? Would that count as bottle conditioning? It wouldn't count as bottle refermentation but I guess conditioning is different

you do not need a lot of yeast, it may not have been evident

true. I just looked at the bottle of wrasslers in the shed- unpasteurised, bottle conditioned. I wonder do they partially filter like some of the belgians. Anyway it's been super cold for a week, if there's any sediment I'll see it this evening!
