I'm really enjoying my hopalotamus, find it very nicely balanced, slightly orangey rather than the grapefruity/lemony usually associated with American ipas. Devenys have about 6 different river horse beers, grabbed a load tonight, Ruth says they'll be at the beer fest on Tuesday too.

Thought the Hop-a-lot-amus was nice enough, big on bitterness, but not a great hop profile. None the less it was enjoyable, wouldn't get it again, but glad I tried it. Think River Horse need to do a bit of work on their quality control though. Other than my incident with the Hop Hazard Pale Ale, I've heard of their Milk oatmeal stout pouring a bright hazy yellow in the form of their Triple! Was looking forward to trying that stout, but Drinkstore were sold out having only received a limited few bottles. Not good enough really is it

That's exactly what BierTourist is looking to do <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

Tried my Hop-alot-a-mus last night. I have to say I enjoyed it, huge bitterness and this takes away from the hop profile, but although I thought it was very bitter it was nice and smooth. Definitely a beer I would have again, although definitely a sipping beer and you would not have more than one, maybe two at a stretch.
