Cheap Dublin Pub Crawl. 16 years 5 months ago #1

Who's up for a cheap-ass pub crawl?

Inspired by a_friend_in_mead's Dublin beer trip[/url:1xiiz53z] thread I thought I'd propose a cheap night out.

We could start in The Gingerman for €11 (4 pint) pitchers of Franciscan Well beers, then take a DB to O'Connel street (non cyclists could get a 48A from opposite Pierce Street Station, as far as the spire) for pitchers of Murray's Lager. After that it's probably best to walk down to Messers for whatever house beer grabs you, at a reassuringly expensive €4 a pint.

Any takers? I'll do this tonight if a few people are up for it.

Ha. Only on the second tuesday after the first full moon before the second neap tide of a leap year.

I'm easy, whenever suits other people.

I suppose I should have checked the bus more thoroughly (although as a DB user I don't really have the motivation). It's two an hour according to the timetable and in my experience, all that indicates is that you can expect no MORE than two an hour, while less than that is quite possible.

living on that route, i would tend not to rely on it if at all possible; thankfully I also live on the luas line too, so that's my pleblic transport of choice.
There's also a 44 bus goes the same way, or could walk up to dawson st and get one of the 14s - they all go up to parnell st. Maybe the 15s do too, but I dunno.

Would be around 8 or so before I could be in town to begin....

Cannot make this this evening I am afraid. Let me know how you get on

It doesn't have to be tonight. If another night would result in more people I would prefer that.
