Had a few pints this evening. Fabulous stuff. Intense orange/citrus hops. More like this please.

Well I have not had it yet (will on Saturday I hope) but since it is Carlow doing it, I would like to see it bottled.
They would have the supreme advantage of being the only Irish IPA available in bottle.

These recent ales from Carlow are a curious thing. Recently they up graded to a much larger plant, and there is no way that these beers are produced in any great quantity. Declan told me this evening that the B&C got one cask of this latest brew. Even if the brewery is running at a quarter capacity it still amounts to hundreds of litres of beer.

Perhaps the Carlow boys have a pilot brewery installed for some experimentation, and we are greatly benefiting from it.

I've been wondering about this too. Anyone care to shed any light on it?

Whatever is happening, it's a marvellous development and kudos to Carlow and the Bull & Castle for making it possible.

Oi, Bierhaus: where's yer beer engine? <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

The "Goods Store IPA" was produced in honour of the soon to be closed brewery in Carlow (moving elsewhwere to a bigger plant).
It was produced on the old system(the last brew on the system), and i've been told there's plenty. Not sure the breakdown for Casks & kegs though.

Stay Tuned!!

Cheers for the background.

And get more of it. Lots more of it.

Edit: Sunny lunchtime pint, anyone?
