Got a couple of bottles in superquinn ballinteer (they have oodles by the way). Not overly impressed to be honest, there's an aftertaste I don't like, can't put my finger on it. Much prefer Celebration or even regular stout. Happy to have tried it, but glad I only got 2 bottles. Will try it on cask though to see if it's better.

Actually, maybe i was a bit hasty when i tried it last time. Second bottle seems to be much nicer, the aftertaste is not as harsh this time - i had only just brought it home when i tried the first one, maybe it settles a bit? much more complex flavours with this one than the last. goes well with a chilli!

got 2 bottles today....nearly missed them as I was expecting the same style of bottle as their other beers <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt=":lol:" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->

better cold or at room temperature?

I'd advise cellar temp. It's quite a complex flavour.

just finished a bottle of this...not too impressed to be honest. Smelled lovely when I first opened the bottle but the taste didn't match....its very sour I think. Hides the 6% very well though

Yeah see thats the problem I think - I lobbed my first one in a fridge for an hour or so, didn't like it. The one i just had has been sitting in my kitchen on the counter for a week, dunno exact temp, but my kitchen is not by any means warm! This one tasted MUCH better. I'd err on the warmer side.
