I wasn't sure[/url:2b6627ay] what to make of it. Very boozy, very bitter, only a touch of toffee malt when it warms a bit. Tough going.

As I said to Rebel I did not know what to make of it either - to be honest was a bit diappointed with it. Thought the lager was o.k. but nothing spectacular either.

On a related matter has anyone seen any other Brewdog bees in Ireland - their stouts look pretty good especially their ones matured in malt whiskey casks.

I was disappointed too. I thought I would really like it. Firstly I was surprised at how pale it was - that's not a criticism though, the malt sweetness that you get with the few Double IPAs I've tried is there. Plenty of bitterness too but the hop character and aroma (of which there wasn't much) wasn't overly pleasant. Just didn't do it for me I'm afraid.

TBN, I notice you mention their labels on your blog. The IPA label very much reminds me of the Innocent smoothie labels.

Which is why big companies like Ben & Jerry's do it as well, I guess.

I think the range I'm thinking of is called 'Juicy Water' and they talk about "162 crushed cranberries gave their all for this drink" which sounds a little like (and predates) "2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world...".

Plagiarism in advertising? Never!

Wonder who Innocent stole it off?
