And a lot will tell you that English beer is dishwater, while they do have great beer I found them to be jingoistic towards non German beers.

I should really be posting the gems I've heard about "foreign" beers on my blog. Belgian beers are particularly distrusted by some because of the fruit "[i:22s71y54]It's not really beer[/i:22s71y54]". And one person told me he heard there were fish tails in English beer. Well, the situation wasn't improved when I told them it wasn't tails but dried swim bladders... <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

But they aren't all like that. In fact, I'm heartened by how many progressives I've met. Usually the ones who want to try my homebrew <!-- s:P --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz" /><!-- s:P -->

I think there are two new lads out there just getting into beer distribution, they have a range of US beers I think they were previously US wine only.

Could be them.
