Any recommendations for hoppy pale ales in 500ml bottles/cans suitable for a session?

What I'm thinking of is beers like Founders All Day IPA, Yellow Belly Citra, White Hag's Little Fawn, Dead Pony Club ... and that sort of thing.

All of these beers come in 330ml bottles or cans.

You'd think for relatively low alcohol beers like this you'd get them in the larger size?

I know O'hara's pale is in a 500 ml bottle and Blacks of Kinsale do similar stuff, but was wondering if other hoppy stuff has escaped me?


What I'd like:

size - 500ml
ABV - on or below 5%
flavour - Lots of American hops

Any thoughts?

BrewDog sell Punk in 500ml cans but I've never actually seen one. It's a bit higher than sessionable too as well I suppose. Dead Pony isn't done in 500ml anyway.

It probably is a missed opportunity though as there's plenty of breweries doing 500ml bottles, why not cans as well?

magic rock do 500ml cans and cloudwater in 440 so both well worth seeking out

Will check out the Lough Gill beers when I come across them.

Yes, I know Punk is in 500 ml cans. Certainly tempting, though a nudge above the 5% cut off!

The Magic Rock and Cloudwater I've come across so far are above 5% ... Though they are certainly nice!

As regards why 500ml as opposed of 330 ml, two reasons:

1. I just like being able to drink a beer out of a pint glass which is almost full ...

2. Its probably better value for money. I'll drink 2 500 ml cans in stead of 3 330 ml cans.

I'd be the same on both counts. Often the 330mls aren't much cheaper than the 500mls at all either.
