Well I voted yes, it's not perfect but in general I find you'll get a good pint or bottle if you're buying Irish craft (and it's fresh). We're not pushing boundaries like a few American and British breweries are but I think our standard is better than a lot of continental countries. If it wasn't good enough I'd not buy it.

It's not black and white.
There are some substandard beers out there still.
In the main, yes.

There are some really good beers, but there is a plethora of crappy pale ales. So it is good enough, but can be better.
