Some of the shops do free shipping over a certain amount or as special discount periods like Easter, Half term w.h.y.!
Its all about volume of sales!

Need I say more?[/quote:2vxm09ku]

Forgive my ignorance, what does HB stand for?

Somewhere between €5 and €10 seems to be the norm. Like you say, it's down to being able to arrange better deals with couriers based on volume of sales.[/quote:2vxm09ku]

Sorry: Homebrew shops!

Neighbour runs a successful online shop. At €6 delivery you'd be making a profit on delivery <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->

Could you expand on this a bit? How much/what does your neighbour ship? What weights are the packages? I'd like the profit to come from the product and make the shipping as cheap as is possible.

Don't take my word for it: phone DPD, Fastway etc yourself with your requirements.

Have you a licence for off sales? If not do you know the cost of one, and that the rules were changed a few years ago making it impossible to open one where there is no existing retail business?

Yep, like I said above, i've been working in an offy for a few years now, so i'm aware of those rule changes.

Re the shipping, I was just asking for input, I know I have to ring all these shipping crowds. Still very much in the ideas stage at the moment.

Thanks!
