It is indeed a tasty drop - Galway Bay Brewery's answer to BrewDog? It's a good answer if so!

It's nice - very easy to sip considering the hopping and the strength.

But €5.75 for 2/3 pint?

That works out to almost 8 bucks for a bit more than 12oz - midtown Manhattan prices.

I will pay (and have done) ridiculous prices for amazing beer, but it had better be unicorn tears.

Of Foam and Fury just isn't quite there.

According to the barman at The Black Sheep it cost twice as much to brew as Voyager. I really hope they don't compromise on ingredients for future bataches.

I thought it was fantastic, had a glass on Saturday night in Brew Dock, I "paid" with the loyalty card so hadn't realised the price, that's a serious price premium though I think if I'm not correct that that's what they charge for the Thornbridge and other specials that they serve in 2/3 pints? If so, are we expecting local brewers to charge less for similar beers?

What I did think odd was that it won't be sold in pints but they seem to be quite happy to sell in 500ml bottles? Or have I got that wrong?

Anyway, thought it was a cracking beer, only wished I'd had time for another before drinking slop in the point at Sigur Ros.

It's pretty close. The hope is it will inspire the other breweries to produce their own Pacific Pales...

On a slightly related note- I don't get why AtG refused to serve me a pint of it. They claimed it was because of the strength. So I had 2 schooners. Which is 1.5 pints.
