New sightings in new-look Redmond's 18 years 3 months ago #1

Redmond's are back to their former glory and I think they may even have allocated some of their new space to beer. New stuff in stock includes Sierra Nevada Wheat, Sierra Nevada Anniversary and Samuel Adams Holiday Porter.

You'll have to post photos so I can drool too. I haven't ventured into my local getrank markt (or however you spell it) as I don't have bungy cords (yet!) to strap a crate to my bike like the locals do. It's a nice sight to see someone cycling along with a crate of Krombacher or Maisels strapped to the back, like they have their priorities right. Unfortunately, selection tends to be limited, but I will explore the local offerings as much as possible

I'm guessing the road surface is rather better where you are.

Yes, probably! There's kilometers of dedicated cycle paths in this city, and clearly in good enough condition not to shake a crate of 20 bottles off someones back carrier. I'd say it takes practice to strap one in properly though.

I doubt I'll be seeing much in the way of Sierra Nevada or Goose Island beers here. I've yet to try telling someone that some US beers are amongst the best in the world. I'm sure the reaction will be interesting

Having said that, although I don't exect the type of selection I was used to in Redmonds, the prices here are a hell of alot better!
