Hi I'm doing a microbrewery/brewpub design project and your article gave me a great insight into london brewpubs! Do you have any more photos of the places by any chance?
cheers,
Joe

Hi Joe,

I'll see what I can dig out in the next day or so.

I will be heading to London in August for the U2 concert so I will have to check out some of the pubs you visited back then. I am staying near tower bridge I think so will easily get to try anything in the city centre.

The only one in central London is Bunker, and honestly it's not worth it. If you're in Covent Garden go to The Harp instead. If you're around Borough, there are far better places to drink than Brew Wharf, like The Rake and The Market Porter.

But, if brewpubs are your thing, just note that since I wrote that article, The Cock & Hen has ceased brewing, and a new brewpub has opened at the William IV out in Leyton.

I certainly like brewpubs but might not have time to go too far from the city centre. If I can at least try one or two and then spend the rest of my time in some fullers pubs or other nice pubs serving good beer then I will be happy. Will also need to have something for the wife too, she can handle hoegaarden or fruity beers or some nice wine.

The Harp is great and second the The Rake and The Market Porter. The Rake owners also have a bottle shop (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="www.utobeer.co.uk/">www.utobeer.co.uk/) in the Borough market very good selection and the market is a great place to wander and eat.

Also just down the road is the Royal oak, Harveys on pub in London and worth a visit
