Well [i:a908a2yk]this[/i:a908a2yk] novice brewer does. <!-- s:P --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz" /><!-- s:P -->

I think you're being too precious about it tbh.

ICB has been very underserved in that capacity over the years.

By thinking about it for half a second? Yeah, I suppose... [/quote:efpd8afi]The idea of brewery-owned pubs wouldn't even occur to an American, since that's a vertical monopoly and a violation of US anti-trust laws (see [i:efpd8afi]United States v Paramount Pictures[/i:efpd8afi], 1948). Drinking in English pubs is the only way to really see how it works, and most Yanks wouldn't get the chance.

I'm glad that someone can make a porter from 1910 if they want to. And to me, a snapshot of a beer in a time and place is a style.

Ha! You beat me to it.
It does sound like somebody needs to be making their own style guide. There's no better man!

His prices have gone through the roof, why?

I suspect because he thinks people will buy them. I'm sure there are obsessive homebrewers out there who'd pay that.
