Interesting results. Amazed at how well Phuca did considering you can only get it in very few pubs. Its a good sign for slightly odder beers.

Similar story with Clothworthy. Thanks for running the award.

No worries. Whitewater weren't there to collect so I'll need to figure out another way to get their trophy to them.

Oh dear you'll just have to visit the brewery so!

Thanks for organizing this Mr BeerNut. Congratulations to all the winners.

Well done to all winners (and to AwardNut).

How was the festival this year, any notable new beers, breweries, absentees?

Yep, lots of interesting stuff. Cuilán had the first Templemore-brewed White Gypsy-branded beers out: his Dark Lager is still a work in progress (it's basically MM Bock) but the IPA is pretty good -- light and lemony, though a bit strong at 5.2%. He also had a pale ale that someone else is brewing at his place: Bull Island by "Barrelhead Brewery". Hilden had the Ireland's Call ale which they made for Wetherspoon's, and I thought it was very good: dark and chocolate malty, not a million miles from Clotworthy Dobbin.

As I mentioned, Whitewater themselves didn't show, though the Porterhouse had a full stand, and there were no importers present: it was all Irish-made beer, which is nice to see.
