Gaillimh: rugby and good beer 16 years 6 months ago #1

Question for the western clan; will be in Galway city over the weekend on a stag, and I want to watch the rugby matches on TV, and naturally I want to drink proper beer whilst doing so.

Where would be a good bar to suggest to the boys that ticks both these boxes, and would still be readily accessible to 40 odd lads?

Cheers.

Funnily enough, I was in Galway on Stag last week. Didn't get to Oslo (its a bit away from the centre) but the Kings Head on shop street has Galway Hooker on Tap, shows sports and is probably big enough to take 40 odd lads!

Thats the designated meeting point on Friday evening when we get down; was happy to see some good beer on tap there. Wanna visit the Bierhaus too, do they show rugby there?

Didn't make it to be honest, on stag you go with the crowd (who are generally following women folk!). Best thing about the Kings Head is that the girl behind the counter actually knew about the beers!
