i feel this personally has the chance to shake up the pub market a la Lidl/Aldi did with the supermarkets.

It will be interesting to see how it pans out.

Matt Cooper conducted a bizarre interview on The Last Word earlier during which he questioned if Irish drinkers would accept the lack of choice in a UK chain.

He seemed to be under the impression that they were tied to one brewery. He noted that Irish people like a choice of stout, Guinness, Murphy's or even Beamish and a selection of lagers such as Heineken, Carlsberg, Budweiser. He then wondered aloud what would a Guinness drinker think if he was instead offered *pause* "ALE!"

My God, any respect I had for Matt Cooper is gone now. Seriously, do a little research. A quick google was all he needed to do.

Typical radio presenter's attitude to beer.
