Hmm. I just tested this and couldn't reproduce it. When you log in do you check the box the say keep me logged in? If not, try it and see if it makes a difference. I just tried it with and without that checkbox with no prolems. In fact, I'm previewing this now

What browser are you using btw?

TEST
I am using Windows Internet Explorer 7.

And it works
this time!

and, no I didn't check the box. Maybe your presence just sorted it (go on, admit it; you did something!)

Any news on this issue? As the forum gets busier it's getting a little more awkward.

Cheers.

i reported something similar a while back, maybe they're related, when clicking on the 'view posts since your last visit' on the main forum index - basically I have bookmarked the page
www.irishcraftbrewer.com/Communi ... d=newposts
and sometimes it goes back to the main forum page. I do think I am missing posts because of it. I have kind-of learnt to deal with it though!

I have had a similar problem. It is like the site times out after a certain period of inactivity or something. If I start typing a message and then leave the PC for a period of time (anything over 5 minutes seems risky) and then come back to writing my message when I come to preview or post it loses it and I have to log in again for it to work. Sometimes going back a page on my browser (Firefox) means I can get back to the message but I've got into the habit of copying the whole message before I attempt to preview. Another tactic I have used is to post an initial message and then go back and edit it (often several times) until I'm happy with it. It's a bit of an irritation that I've learnt to deal with in my own way(s).

Lads, Just to let you know I'm not ignoring you. I'll respond properly when I am out of work and meetings, and less hung over.
