Hi there,

I am in the process of organising a cornie keg buy from can direct in Germany. Bringing in 60 kegs on 1 pallet with cost of transport the kegs work out @45 euro each (keg costs 40 euro each). The kegs have pressure relief valves. There are cheaper options with burst valves instead of relief valves for 30 during. We got a 10% discount on each keg for the bulk buy.

See thread here for details.

Unfortunately your too late to join this group unless you can drum up enough interest to fill another pallet with 60 kegs in the next few days. I can give you contact details for Candirect if your interested?

Hi Simon,

I recently bought a keg from that smalldogtrading guy. Unlike some other sellers, he didn't slap on any hefty surcharge for postage to N. Ireland.

The corny, like you say, had no pressure relief valve but that's no biggie; you can just use the gas in valve instead. The keg came still pressurized, so no problems there; seals were good. The only issue I did have was when I opened it for first use there was the tail end of some soft drink syrup in it. Again, no big thing; I just washed her out and flushed her through as I would have done anyway. I've had 1 brew through it now and all was good.

The delivery was pretty quick, too.

Hope this helps,

-Barry

Aha sounds like another group buy from germany.

We had an epic group buy of cornies here in ireland where we brought in a couple of pallets of them @ about 15 euro each. from a company in germany, seprate to the one mentioned above.

This was copied in the UK - and i suspect this is where your corny came from. Unfortunately the source of the cornies is out of stock now.

Right, so he's just bought in a few pallet loads and sold them on without applying any of the TLC you'd associate with the likes of normannumpa. Makes sense.

yeah would have like to get in on the group buy but never really had the disposable income for them.

Yeah i could see a issue with the welded up PRV, the tread is still there, drill it out and put one in. job done.

Glad to hear he's been used before and reliable. the be fair with the guy he's good on the postage really considering the size of them.

Unless any one else knows any other place for corny's to be had at this kinda price i think i will get a few.

Thanks for the reply's fella's
