Lads , get a vac packer. I have one that cost only £38 on amazon. I just open the bag, take out the hops I need and reseal.
I think the make is "andrew james".

Fair enough but I have my freezer, doing nothing else, and don't want to spend another €50 or more on vac packing.
Thanks for the idea anyway.

Must look out for one actually. Are the bags easy enough to get as well?

I got a cheap 2nd hand vacuum sealer on adverts. I initially spent ages trying to find a source of bags when I saw someone online suggest that sandwich bags can be used. I just use sandwich bags from tesco, only a couple of euro. <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

I find the heavier the plastic on the bag, the better the seal. Its also great for resealing bags of grain etc..

Do you agree that this is the best way to keep hops? The Andrew james machine I got came with a bunch of bags. If you snip off the top of the bag, take out some hops, and vac the rest in the same bag it would take a long time to run out of bags.
I couldn't go back to freezing hops.
