Cornie Kegs From Brouwland 14 years 2 weeks ago #1

You can buy reconditioned kegs from Brouwland for €42,45, see:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="www.brouwland.com/en/">www.brouwland.com/en/

Which means you should be able to get them here for the same RRP, approx (VAT rates are higher here, and bulky items cost a fortune to ship in).

Whats missing for the average brewer is a full solution with connections, gas, taps etc.

Would someone be prepared to take the time to look at Brouwland and put a solution together? Or a couple of options maybe for guys with different budgets?

Don't worry about connectors etc, we'll get them in regardless.

Look at this:
KEG-charger + CO2-cartridge 058.045.2 € 37,00

If you go to <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="www.brouwland.com/en/">www.brouwland.com/en/ and search for 058.045.2, it will come up.

What else is needed?

It looks like cornies could be made available here for the price of plastic kegs, minikegs, etc.

Unless I am missing something?

Thinking:
KEG-charger + CO2-cartridge
058.045.2 €37,00

soda-keg 2nd hand 19 l
058.215.5 €42,45

plastic beertap "picnic" + soda-keg disconnect
058.096.5 €17,64

for a total of €97.09

As a comparrison, Brewferm Minikeg starter kits now cost €69.95 here.

But the sky is the limit with Brouwland, a sensible option would be very much appreciated so that we can stock it !

I'd be interested

I've been considering using Cornies for Conditioning tanks for High alcohol beers , with a view to bottling them after 6 months or so ...

Those are a serious waste of money. What most people will want and would be happy with is a 3 to 8Kg CO2 tank and reg.

No flow control, which means you could need up to 3 hands to dispense beer properly. i.e. if there's too much pressure in the keg it can be a nightmare trying to dispense with one of those.

I think proper tanks, regs and proper taps and you'd have a winning formula.

But on the other hand the charger and picnic tap offer some degree of portability and would be handy for parties or...picnics <!-- s:grin: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:grin: -->

With a tank you can crank up the pressure and then disconnect altogether, leaving enough pressure to dispense the whole keg. You just have to leave enough head space in the keg for the gas.
