Spoke to a guy in the shop here in Galway recently who has one of these, and just felt . . . . we gotta get them! He has been brewing for 40 years, so its paid for itself many times over. 1500 is a lot, but when you see the mechanics of how these boilers work, suddenly the notion of all grain brewing any other way seems somehow less?
Gives you full programmable temperature profiling . . . circulating pump, grain contained within an internal cylinder with mesh, elecronically controlled temp profiles.
For example, you can easily program:
1st phase: protein rest at 55°C - approx. 5 min
2st phase: maltose rest at 63°C - approx. 30 min
3rd phase: saccharification rest at 72°C - approx. 20 min
4th phase: saccharification rest at 78°C - approx. 10 min
A whole new level of brewing compared to cold box mash tuns, that only operate at one temperature. Gives you access to a whole new dimension of beers.
The Brouwland boilers we stock already allow you to do this, but require manual control. You gotta stand over them, stir the mash regularly, and adjust temps as required. A bit more time consuming, see:

Hmmm, decisions decisions.
