We have been in contact with these guys and are wondering what you think of them? [url:t1435o6g]http://sedexbrewing.com/instructions.html[/url:t1435o6g]

Looking at UK boards, it seems they only fit screw cap glass bottles.

Even buying several thousand of them, with shipping and import duties, it looks like they will be 3 to 4 Euros each.

The price threw us a bit.

What do guys think, should be get them?

I think they're a bit on the pricey side for what they are. When I bottle, I tend to bottle a batch, which will be around 40 bottles.

Also, I don't know if home brewers are into drinking straight out of the bottle. There are so many reasons we prefer to pour into a glass first... aroma, appearance, etc.

Ya, we were going to get about 10,000 of them in from Aussieland but Jims and other forums don't seem to be too hot on them.

We are now thinking of getting just 1000 to see how they go.

I think they could be useful for going to parties, and for entertaining at home where some guests may not be brewers and might not be comfortable with sediment in bottles.

Urmm, This looks like a very clever, overly engineered, expensive solution to a non-existant problem!!

Sediment catcher!! Just bottle ( or quicker keg it ) Be patient and the sediment falls to the bottom - Simples

Plus it must be pointed out that a little yeast haze is NOT A TOXIC PROBLEM.

Craft Beer and HB CB is a natural product. The yeast is GOOD for you ( full of Vit. B complexes )

Save out money and concentrate on ingredients and the like

If you don't want your guests to see the sediment, pour slowly and leave the last few ml in the bottom of the bottle.
