Genius idea. Be interesting to see how they hold up to opening and re-sealing, a la picnic style.

Heh. My brews need all the help they can get, including whatever Time can give them.

On Saturday I opened a bottle with one of these closures and one from a standard swingtop. Both were carbonated exactly the same. So I'm confident that these work for pint bottles at the very least.

Also, the Finlandia apple and pear cider turned out rather nice. Thanks Brian!

Cool, we are hearing good reports about that Finlandia cider. We have a special on April expity kits, but it actually end of May:

Pallets of swing tops are on the way from Belgium, and we have boxes being made up to pack them.

So swing top bottle prices will be falling soon (2 to 3 weeks).

Swing tops are arriving Tuesday, initially 500ml only. We intend packing them in boxes of 20 and dropping prices by 20% or so.

Should come in about 1.25 a bottle (including VAT) or less, which we think is a great price.

I'll put up a separate post as soon as they are available, we are still waiting on boxes to put them in, they were supposed to be ready by now.

We can get 750ml bottles too at about 1.55 per bottle (in boxes of 15) if there is sufficient interest, we have to order thousands at a time.

I know this is an old thread but looking for advice on using these. I had a go last night at securing 2 and just managed to rip my fingers up.

Do you use a pliers for fitting the band?
