There's no little arm for adjusting the valve on the side of the tap, but you could be right about the Miller tap.

Yeah that controls the flow on the miller tap. And I think on the tennants tap its a black dial that goes around the entire outside shaft towards the back.
All those macro taps have flow control (in my experience), but its never controlled by a little arm like the ones us homebrewers are used to.

That wouldn't be my experience. They used to, but not any more. I have a Guinness tap here that has no flow control, even tho there looks to be, but that's just for screwing the tap apart.

Ah well actually thats what I meant to say in that post..... I dont ever remember guinness taps having flow control <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->
I was really talking about lager in that quote.

I havent worked in a pub in about 6 or 7 years but i think the lager taps are pretty much still the same. Apart from the fact that it seems fashionable now to have your very own glacier attached.

Last time I worked in a pub was 1990! No glaciers back then thankfully!

On the lager taps, you may see a big round knob on the very front of the tap, that is the flow control. It may also be located behind the spout on the horizontal strut, that is more like a collar. That is flow control also.

The newer Guinness taps use the valve it's self for flow control, and the range adjustment for that is at the base of the handle.

Most industrial beer taps don't use the little lever that the homebrew and craft taps use, as they are too easy to knock around and mess up your settings.
