Just wanted to give a big thanks to Donal who's going to replace my auto-syphon that I got as a present after it broke down on it's maiden voyage during the BBC. That's great customer service for you.

Hi Anthony,

How did it break down? Autosyphons are great but the bend is quite fragile, I break one on average once a year.

I knocked the sludge trap off of mine recently when syphoning from my large fermenter, then I forgot about it and tipped the yeast down the loo.....losing the yeast trap....total pain. At least I have a few spare bends though.

A Marble works well if you knock out the little plastic bit at the bottom by mindlessly cleaning it. I have also broken the bendy bit.

Na it's the actual cap on the end I lost, it still works, but will just pick up more sludge than before. I'll replace it soon.

I'd love to find a stainless steel racking cane to replace the plastic one, whether it fits the autosyphon or not. Anyone know where I can get one? I'd prefer not to order from the US if possible due to shipping costs...
