I know it's only a beer forum but I'm generally against censorship and/or attempts to sanitise discussion.

No one is forcing any supplier to advertise here (for free) so the members should be allowed to compare, contrast, bitch and moan however they like.

Just a thought: If we can't compare commercial suppliers, then we can't point out bargains. eg I can't say "heads up everyone, Shop A has a much better price on product X than Shop B or Shop C at the moment"

I do understand the motives for the clampdown after the ruckus between (what appeared to me to be) a couple of shop owners and their supporters recently.

Maybe it could be fine tuned.

But you can say Shop A has a very good price on product X.

The price of X in shops B and C isn't relevant to your news. Highlight the good value, not the bad.

Prices are only very good relative to each other tho.
