Exciting opportunity for Brew-master/Brewery manager 9 years 9 months ago #1

Hi all

My family and I are starting a new brewery and should be open for production in late September - the lease is signed and the equipment ordered.
We have a really great technical team in place but we are looking for somoeone with the right personality and experience to join us to brew on a daily basis and help with sales. There is an assistant brewer already in place to help out as is required.

Our 35hl brewery will be based in north Wicklow. I am more than happy to go into as much detail asyou like if you are interested in knowing more.

If curious in anyway just ask any questions you like - for the right person this really is an excellent opportunity.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Cillian

I'm definitely not the person you are looking for, but I'm interested in knowing more about the project
What are your plans?

Sounds good. I'll post this over on the National Homebrew Club forum for you too sure.

@Irish_goat - Thanks very much that would be great!

@Giacomorizzo - It's been 8 years in the coming and lots of home brewing but we finally got the money together as a family to invest in a premises and a brewhouse. We are investing in a 3 vessel 35hl brewhouse along with a bottling line. We were thinking about canning as well but the outlay is quite heavy.. If anyone has any views on bottling vs canning i would be all ears.
We all like different types of beer which is cool - I am more of a lager drinker, my brother is more into ales, and one of my friends who's involved is more into pale ales/koelsch..
Now putting together a sales strategy

So you plan to brew and sell, no brewpub or anything similar, right?

Re canning: for hoppy beers in particular, cans are substantially better than bottles (mostly logistically, but taste-wise, they are supposed to remain fresher and make oxidation avoidance easier). A canning line and the other bits and pieces are indeed very expensive, but most Irish breweries that are shipping cans around seem to be using a mobile canning line that I'm sure you'll be able to get a quotation from
