I wounder if Mark Stroobandt will be commenting of lack of choice (apart for the number of Euro/American lager) freezing serving temps, uninformed/uninterested publicans?

How did he become a [i:25vxka4w]Master [/i:25vxka4w]Beer Sommelier anyway? There's one based in a brewery near where I live who's always in the local paper, and I think he did some sort of diploma course or something (he was the first beer sommelier in the Münsterland apparently). Although you read things in other places to the effect that anyone can call themselves a beer sommelier (I remember one member calling himself one on the radio )). Where is there an official awarding body, and what about the US Cicerone stuff?

Completely off topic

Hey Hey, I think you'll find that the genius dealing with that particular episode coined that phrase against my own of "beer enthusiast".

So insider knowledge:a glass of wine 125ml must be the equivalent of €4 (Its a € to an equivalent peso, zloty or whatever theyre calling it). As far as I know, its going to pretty much pound for pound ratios. If you see a beer for 12(insert currency here) and its not milked from the knowledge of a 400 year old Franciscan monk then dont buy it. If it is, call me.
