I was queuing outside the GBBF in front of an Aussie brewer who has just started the Gentlemens Brewing Company[/url:41kw6b8e] in Adelaide. He was similarly unimpressed with the state of Australian beer.

James Squire Amber Ale is another good Aussie beer.

There's some good stuff in the brewpubs that doesn't make it out of the country. I was very impressed with The Lord Nelson[/url:3c5213ra] in Sydney.

Whats Baltika like? Its the only Russian beer I recognise

Not great, IMO. The strong lager (no. 9) is about the best of them. A lot of people like the porter (no. 6) but I'm not a fan.
