I was going to post a topic and then saw this one.

Non-alcoholic beer does indeed taste fairly crap compared to the real thing and yes it makes you piss like a racehorse, but I have bit of a dilemma when out and driving.
I don't like fizzy drinks (or anything sugary) so Coke, Fanta, cordiales and the rest of it are all out of the question.
Water is fairly useless and there's no way I'm getting a glass of milk
I got a bottle of Becks unleaded and it cost 4.50
I'm sure this falls into the binge drinking thread as well, but what alternative is there? I can't believe it's so overpriced (aside from the lack of variety), considering the publicans can't hide behind excise tax.

Living in Spain, we always had Non-alcholic San Miguel or Bitburger in the fridge as a soft drink, and if you consider it as a soft drink, it still beats everything else hands down for me.

In Tesco the other day I saw 6 bottles of Non-alcholic Becks for 4.99. I think I'm going to have to start smuggling it in to pubs when I'm driving...

Tea, coffee, fruit juice? or my newest offering slug juice. Sadly I cannot seem to get any bars interested in stocking slug juice.

Hang on, wasn't there a Futurama episode about this?

Hmm tea - you know I'd never even considered it - how much is a cup of tea in the pub?

Like beer it depends on where you are... I got a pot of tea in the Newtownmountkennedy Inn for a measly €2 there a couple of weeks ago, although I'd say thats a bit cheaper than normal. Hey, we could have a tea section on the forum, possibly under 'alternative brews'?
