Hi Guys

Local CAMRA branch having a social for the start of the Wetherspoon autumn beer festival and as North East region rep I thought I'd turn it into a cross-border social and invite everyone along!

We hope to get some brewers along for Q+A plus get as many of the ten US brewer collaborations on as possible at Belfast. Plan to also visit carrickfergus and lisburn on local train, but this part is optional.


You can get a day return for as little as £10 on the Enterprise, and with beer about half of the price as Dublin it could work out cheaper than a night out!

Thats really interesting - just curious is there a special rate for Beoir members to join Camra?

Just looking at trains there - €30 return from connelly for the day which isn't bad.

The Wetherspoons festival isn't a festival in an RDS type sense. It's just that they put on a lot of special beers they don't normally sell year round and do them cheaply. It's all held in their pubs.

They normally have some great imported casks as well as imported brewers who brew a batch in a UK brewery.

I'll definitely be in the Derry Wetherspoons for a few anyway.
