The BBPB is an opportunity for a group of us to do something we have been talking about for a while and work with different breweries to create one-off releases of interesting beers (well, limited to beers right now, but Mr Foggarty has a micro-still knocking about and a glint in his eye)
From our press release:

Brown Paper Bag Project releases their first beer onto the market this weekend in Dublin. The first of the ‘Brown Paper Bag Projects’ was dreamed up by Brian Short, Michael Foggarty, Colin Hession and Seáneen Sullivan, and brewed by Brian and Colin (clad in their finest galoshes) in Mitchelstown County Cork. It is brewed using a single hop (the delightfully named and eponymous Dr Rudi hop) and is a Belgian style ale. It has an ABV of 7.4% and pours a dark ruby red with a tightly bound foamy head. The beer will be on draught in L. Mulligan. Grocer of Stoneybatter and W. J. Kavanagh’s of Dorset Street, as well as in 330mL bottles in selected off licenses. It is a great beer for contemplative sipping, for enjoying alongside a saucy portion of Moules Frites or a fine companion to an intriguing episode of Hercule Poirot.
